  1. Ah, online dating. Don't miss it.

    1. as someone knee deep in the online dating scene, I can't wait for the day I get to say what you just did.

      1. … I am PRETTY SURE that dyingumbrella only said that because they did not find whatever partner they have (even if that partner is "none") through online dating. If you utilize online dating to find your life partner, you are not really qualified to say that. It would be kind of insulting to your partner.

So if you really can't wait for that day… then just stop. Right now. Leave the online dating scene. Try to join some kind of club. Ballroom dancing, sports, a media-related meetup group, whatever. Meet people naturally. Stop being sufficiently invested in not being alone to not *have* to do online dating. I'm not saying this is the way to definitely find a life partner. But it's a way to find someone less desperate than you apparently are just by being "knee-deep" online dating. And it's a way for you to be able to look back and say "Ah, online dating. Don't miss it." Even if you never find that partner.

        1. Yo, I'm fine. I actually kinda like going on dates and meeting people and not rushing into anything. but like anything my results and mood ebbs and flows.

  2. I met my wife online, but that was 8 years ago. I really REALLY am glad I don't have to date these days.

  3. TFW you're so fed up all you can do is clutch your giant imaginary head.

  4. the mystery of hanna's new shoes, solved!

  5. And you look damn fine, gurl.

  6. I love that Hanna isn't taking any shit or being overly polite. Sometimes it feels like you put up with the stupidest shit with online dating just because you're trying to be nice.

  7. Going to H&M … the greatest sacrifice one can make for love

    1. H&M is EVEN that GREAT!!!

    2. What is the significance of going to H&M?

      1. I'm assuming she bought clothes for the date.

      2. For a stoner/freelancer? Buying date clothes.

  8. Looks like Date Dude is having a Bloody Mary and Hanna is having coffee. It obviously wasn't meant to be.

  9. He’s bothered by A YEAR difference in age? Kids on dating sites these days are dumb and shouldn’t wonder why they can’t find someone in their very specific range.

    1. the other possibility is that he's just incredibly boring and can't think of anything else to talk about. granted, though, that's not much better…

    2. i'd think it's more than that. she says "hold on. you're like… a YEAR younger than me, right?" could totally mean that she thought so, but he's actually like 5 years younger.

      1. Well then that raises more questions: Why are all these kids lying about their age being specifically 1 year younger then her? Did it start out with a base group of people being honest but than all the fresh out of college kids decided to fudge their numbers so they didn't seem immature in comparison? Why lie when you're going to get found out, especially when you start the date with "So, do you always date younger guys?"

  10. OK, so what's the deal with his drink. Seriously.

    1. Bloody Mary. Look up blood mary + food drinks and get an even bigger surprise.

      1. *Does what Heather says*

        …my body wasn't ready for this @_@

  11. Hanna's hair looks less spiky. Maybe it's symbolizing her calming down and becoming less hostile. Maturing or something.

    1. Her discontinued use of marijuana means she’s probably slightly more aware of the state of her hair. Also she’s on a date. Wouldn’t read too much into it yet.

  12. That signal to noise ratio. I think (if she were real) a lot of people would date Hanna. More than a few would probably even be a good match. But sifting through the crap to find the good stuff… Kinda seems to be the nature of the game now for a lot of folks.

  13. He looks like my girlfriend's ex. Ô_o

  14. How have I *just* noticed the speech balloon colours.

Jeez- this is a good looking comic.

  15. Right when I saw all the leafy stuff in his drink I knew he wasn't right for Hanna

  16. Wow, Hannah went to H&M to get clothes/accessories for the date? That's $15 she's never getting back. At least the clothes will dissolve to nothing the first time she puts them in the washing machine, erasing any physical mementos of this date.

  17. I'm just happy Hannah is dating again – that's huge!

  18. 🙂
