During its 10-year run, OP was often compared to Scott Pilgrim visually and in subject matter. Spiritually though, I think this one, with its talking robotic phone gag, is closest to something I deeply admire in Bryan Lee O'Malley's work: a delight in the nonsensical and stupid. Harder than he makes it look.
Those are meant to be ostrich eggs, not sure that is clear.
