  1. Aww, poor Eve…

  2. That always happens, too >.<

Hope she still makes it to the "hot date"!

      1. Wow… I did not even catch on to that… lol

I am filled with shame -__-

      2. WHERE DID YOU FIND THAT LINK??

        1. You click the next button. I want more! 🙂

  3. hahaha! Just got it! Fantastic! Yet another episode of groundbreaking wit from Meredith – long live Octopus Pie!!! 🙂

  4. It is a bewildering and remarkable thing that you have done here, Miss Gran.

  5. There doesn't seem to be a next arrow…

I feel like I'm missing something important here.

  6. does she have so many hot dates that they don't all fit in the cell phone?

  7. I don’t get it… is there supposed to be a next arrow? What’s forever about it? All I see is four panels with a bunch of white space underneath. Am I missing something?

    1. well…before if you were on the last comic, the next arrow would be there but wouldn’t have a link. Now it just takes you back to the beginning of the storyline.

      1. Thats the point though.

    2. You gotta look at the comic on the main page. There’s an arrow there.

  8. WAY better method of keeping contacts. I just lost all of my numbers from switching phones.

  9. You are a cheater, Meredith!

    1. I love it.

  10. Oh God, I know how THAT is… 🙁

  11. I see what you did there.

  12. EVE IS CAUGHT IN A TIME PARADOX OH NOOOOOOO

  13. Ahaha. Oh, you.

  14. They just wont stop spilling shit in aisle 5!!! LET EVE GO HOME!! T_T

    1. I know. Someone should just stand there and glare angrily at anyone who even looks at a container of something spillable. Then the person will get nervous while buying their groceries and fumble the container anyway.

  15. Introducing the new Octopus Pie Ever-Expanding Rolodex of Attractive, Available Men. For Sale Now! Simply follow the link on the last page of this comic to purchase.

    1. I would totally buy that.

    2. lolol "the last page of this comic".

      very good.

  16. An awesome and awful thing has just arrived.

    I love it.

  17. Oh god, I have nightmares just like this O_O

  18. What the hell are they DOING in aisle five?!

  19. Well-played, Ms. Gran. Oh, and LAWL!

  20. ENDLESS LOOP

  21. Groundhog Pie

    1. More like Octopus Hour.

I really feel sorry for Eve, but this is what you get for working in a shop that stays open till infinity at night.

  22. …..=( I still dont get it. I hate when Meridith-humor is above my head…I almost always have to read the comments to figure out whats so funny. This comic makes me feel dumb alot. T_T

    1. See now, in the time it took me to post I finally figured out the joke. DERP.

  23. Hmm… 1) she keeps her Little Black Rolodex at work? (and not in her cellphone?) 2) she could try using that cellphone to calling the original date….

    1. AlmostLiterally

      1) Apparently, she spends enough time at work to keep stuff there (and rolodexes are awesome, the cellphone can not replace them) 2) The original date is probably mad at her for being so late 3) Don't over-analyze it, it's a joke

  24. I know I should pity her, but I can't help but be jealous that she has an infinite amount of suitors that will free their Friday night just to see her.

    1. She got the numbers of all those randy guys in the snow.

  25. I think I'd be more willing to stay to clean a small one than a big one. At the same time, I would feel more obligated to stay for a big one.

  26. Eve, you can’t do that, you’ll create a time paradox! Eve? Eve?! EEEEEEEEEEEEEVE!!

  27. Octopus Pie is forever.

  28. Groundhog Date.

Well played, Ms. Gran – well played.

  29. I'm actually wondering if this is it's own standalone story or if something will follow this loop.

  30. It took me pretty long to get it…..totally worth it…

  31. I have a question for Meredith re: buying the book: if I order it through my comics shop (in this case Modern Graphics in Berlin), do you actually get any money from it?

  32. Welp, there goes four hours of my life.

    1. You get my vote for Best Comment.

  33. Genius.

  34. No doubt in my mind Eve has an infinite supply of hot men ready and willing to go out with her.

    1. "Infinite supply of hot guys". Sure, except that, thanx to the brownout muffin, she forgets them all immediately. THAT's why she's stuck in the infinite loop now…

Although the joke doesn't work so well now that there is an actual "next" comic", speaking as a latecomer to the party…

  35. Surely Eve will reach Hot Date entropy eventually, right? After she’s blown off all of her potential hot dates and has no one left to call.

  36. But what Eve didn't know is that they all waited. THEY ALL WAITED.

  37. It took me a moment (and, actually, a direct link posted by someone above ? thanks JeffreyATW) to get this next arrow thing. When you get to this strip from the previous one, there is no next arrow…

Which makes me wonder what will happen of this (good) joke when the real next strip will be published.

  38. I dig this very muchly.

  39. Haha that took me FOREVER to get, I thought there was something wrong with the website for the durndest time.

  40. So, when does it end?

  41. Oh God, it keeps happening!

  42. Looking forward to book 3 being filled with nothing but octopus pie forever comics.

  43. Just awesome. What a superb idea!

Endless comics to spirit away the time at the job!

  44. Upon reflection, I've realized that the underlying gag of this strip is that Eve is REALLY HORNY. 🙂

  45. I just wanna throttle them both. Julie for not having the gumption to mop up a spill herself and Eve for not saying "I GOT A DATE DO IT YOURSELF

  46. GRUMBLE GRUMBLE INDEED
