  1. In retail the most important part is making it through the workday without crying.

    Crying at the bar after five drinks doesn't count.

    1. I used to schedule 'crying breaks' into my workday when I worked in retail -I would pretend I needed to go to the bathroom, have a little secret cry, get a drink of water and crack on. Good times

  2. I like Eve the least in this little series. The whole "There's no way we're at that part of the night yet"–that's like a recipe for keeping your thoughts and your connections shallow, not to mention an incredibly blighting response to someone who just revealed something vulnerable. Your friend has something real to talk about! Don't go get smashed and forget it, go somewhere quiet and listen.
