Those square sweatdrops are kind of a lazy bit of brushwork. Sometimes I was on a roll with the brush and couldn't bear to put it down, but it's not very good for tiny round shapes, so I'd do little angular ones like this instead. Now you know, and my restless spirit can cross over to its rightful plane.
