Eve "Pluribus Unum" Ning
First appearance: #001 - Pea Wiggle
Our angry hero. Eve rides her bike to work, takes inventory at a supermarket, and grumbles on weekends. Habitually vows never to drink again.
Eve fights self-doubt much like one would fight a hydra. It's pretty cute! She also has a somewhat-unrealized aptitude for ice skating. Eve is Chinese American and she does not know what a Xanga is. |
|

|
Hanna "Bis" Thompson
First Appearance: #005 - Pre-school Reunion
Eve's unsavory roommate. Prefers not to wear shoes.
Hanna has a passion for baking, if you know what I mean. She works from home on her specialty company, Bake n' Bake. She sometimes pays rent for herself and her long-term boyfriend, Marek.
Hanna is an advocate for peace, personal freedom, and small business. She is a loyal friend, and looks out for Eve in times of crisis. Hanna is high 100% of the time. |

|
Marek "Oh, cool" Kulasenski
First Appearance: #021 - Oh.
Hanna's ever-lovin' Polish boyfriend. He loves Hanna so much. <3
Easygoing and mostly quiet, Marek goes along with whatever seems pretty okay. He is a student at Fordham University thanks to a scholarship from the PNA. Though he doesn't say much, Marek seems to be wise beyond his years. Maybe.
Marek has lived at Eve's house since he donated his only mattress to Hanna. He can change a light bulb all by himself, thank you very much. |
Oliver Bernando "Bernando" Turner
First Appearance: #008 - Blood Oranges
Owner and proprietor of Olly's Organix, a grocery store in Manhattan's east village. Very often wears the shoes of a desperate man. He's not exactly on the level, but there's something vaguely noble about his ways.
Olly makes a lot of trouble for Eve, but deep down she is his favorite employee. To torture. |
 |
Will "Work for Food" LeBlanc
First Appearance: #027 - Keep It In Your Pants
Scruffy associate of Hanna's. Fiercely loyal and hopelessly romantic, but also kind of a screw-up. Will is really into rock-climbing, geology, and riding the subway incognito.
Will is currently dating Marigold, but he still has a total boner for Eve. Like... literally. |

|
James "The Jamester" Jame-a-lame-a-ding-dong
First Appearance: #002 - The Break-up
Eve's totally awesome ex-boyfriend. Just two Sopranos episodes away from maximum brain capacity. Somewhere between dating Eve and cleaning his nails, James shed his worldly burdens to become a thinking man. Eve never got her sweater back. Eve ultimately got her sweater back. James now has a girlfriend who seems to like him okay. |
 |
Manuel "My Only Real Friend" Cattington
First Appearance: #007 - Manuel
Eve's only real friend. Believed to be a descendent of Andy Warhol's cat, Sam. This would account for Manuel's incredible tolerance of second-hand pot smoke. Usually draped over something. |
 |
Julie "Nuh-UH!" Clark
First Appearance: #050 - A Hero, A Legend
Loyal Olly's Organix employee, and one of the few pure of heart left in New York. Somewhat impressionable and prone to hero worship. Sees the world as a 1960s romance comic, apparently. |
 |
Jacob "Bob Marley" Marley
First Appearance: #050 - A Hero, A Legend
Not-so-loyal Olly's Organix employee. Hates possibly everything. Jacob was briefly impressed by Eve's cold, capitalistic ways. Nobody knows what he's impressed with now. |
 |
Mrs. "Eve's Mom" Ning
First Appearance: #002 - The Break-up
Once gave birth to Eve. She lives alone, collects 9/11 memorabilia, meddles with things. Currently wavering somewhere between hating Eve's boyfriends and wanting to be a grandma.
|
 |
America "Fucking" Jones ", Bitch"
First Appearance: #090 - Undocumented Talent
America Jones is a classic self-proclaimed champion. She absolutely must win. Mind-bogglingly controlling and mean. She vows to someday exact her alleged revenge on Eve, though she seems to also hate Hanna nowadays. |
 |
"Gregarious" Greg Wu
First Appearance: #139 - Desserting
One of Eve's oldest pals, a member of their childhood clique. Nice to an extreme fault and often paranoid. He is athletic and talented, but also prone to setting things up for disappointment. Greg has held a torch for Eve for years and years, a fact that Eve has long been aware of and finds creepy. |
 |
"Prospect" Park Chao
First Appearance: #141 - Awkward Half-Hug
One of the old neighborhood crew, Park recently returned to New York from college abroad. He's got a little bit of life to figure out, and prefers to remember the good times. Eve is his old high school sweetheart; they're currently giving it another go. Resides in Brooklyn with his grandma. |
 |
Puget "Fuzzy" Sean
First Appearance: #136 - Stoner Friends
A man 15 years too late for his revolution. Puget Sean is a pissy guy with an even pissier agenda. Despite this, or maybe because of it, he is a good friend of Marek and Hanna. Has a couple of daddy issues, we think. |
 |
Gwynneth "Gwendo" Lin
First Appearance: #140 - Park
Gwen is the girl from the block, except she's kind of a dork. Unlike the others, she can hide it when necessary. Likes daytime TV and soaps, reflects deeply on personal experience, dates lots of bad-boys. |
 |
Chris "Krazy Eyes" Kwan
First Appearance: #140 - Park
The quiet, smiling genius. Chris takes pleasure in simplicity, but would just as happily orchestrate and lead a full-scale war. He's just like that. He also has rippling pectorals, because he can. |
 |
Ronald "Mia Wallace" J. Feathersworth, Esquire
First Appearance: #114 - Bird
A wild parrot who was rescued in captivity by our heroes after a bout with lead poisoning. Basically just a cute bird. Has resided somewhere in the Brooklyn wilderness since his release. Everyone misses him.
Steve Baldwin chronicles the adventures of Ronald and thousands of other wild Brooklyn parrots on his blog. |
 |
You (The Reader)
First Appearance: A link from Questionable Content
Mysterious and sexy. Impeccable taste in comics. Loves to wear Octopus Pie T-shirts.
